Midwest Veterinary Clinic of Hubbard, Iowa is a mixed animal veterinary clinic which is proud to provide medical and surgical services for animals of any variety. Our welcoming staff and veterinarians will gladly see your small animal and exotic pets as well as any livestock species. Having been in business since 1968, you can be rest assured that our veterinarians and staff are highly trained and prepared to take on the most complicated of medical cases. Here at Midwest Vet, we strive to provide the same high quality medicine you would find at a specialty practice while at an affordable price; meanwhile always providing excellent customer service and support. Our doors are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 12pm (noon). If you experience an animal medical emergency at any point outside of those hours, we offer emergency services 24/7 for both small and large animal needs. Call us today to make an appointment!
Dr. Douglas Quam started his veterinary career and has been practicing mixed-animal medicine at Midwest Veterinary Clinic since 1989. Prior to graduation from the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Quam spent time as a summer intern at Midwest Vet, getting to know his future clients. Dr. Quam specializes in all phases of livestock production medicine, and also spends time working with companion animals - routine wellness exams, medicine, and surgery cases. His wife Beth and himself have 2 boys, Devan and Landon, and live on an acreage outside of Hubbard.
Dr. Kylie Eggers is our small animal specialist at Midwest Vet Clinic. For her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of Iowa and received her bachelors degree in biology with special emphasis in neurophysiology in 2012. Directly after, she attended veterinary school at Iowa State University and received her DVM in 2016. She shares a small farmhouse north of State Center with her husband, Andrew Eggers, where they care for their "fur children" - 3 cats, 1 dog, 37 chickens, and countless feeder hogs. Dr. Eggers is primarily a small animal clinician, however she loves livestock medicine so don't be surprised to see her on the farm.
